About Nun’s Valley Tour – Madeira Island

This tour has three stops.
(Pico dos Barcelos, Eira do Serrado & Nun’s Valley)

The first is at the Barcelos peak where you have a beautiful view over the city of Funchal, the surrounding area and mountains.
The second stop is at Eira do Serrado… we go up a green road with lots of eucalyptus and chestnut trees. and beautiful landscapes with deep valleys. Upon arrival at Eira do Serrado there is a viewpoint that is 1094 meters high. It has a fantastic landscape over the village of Curral das Freiras and beautiful mountains in its surroundings.
The third stop is in Vila do Curral das Freiras. We can visit the church and take a walk around the small village or take a break for coffee or tea and taste the region’s sweets made with chestnuts, walnuts, etc… Then we return to Funchal or the hotel, passing through the parish of Santo António where Cristiano Ronaldo was born and lived. ..
